8-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT A GREAT SUCCESS

The Club’s annual 8-A-Side football tournament was another overwhelming success both in terms of participation and financially. A few innovations this year made it so much agreeable. The introduction of official referees, sponsored by Trinidad Systems Limited, the cost of the lights was part sponsored by Illuminat and of course the main sponsor “Sportsworld” who was contracted to supply the uniforms for all 32 teams. This tournament is such a big money spinner for the Club that moves are now afoot to ave a similar cricket tournament during the cricket season next year. The football Committee congratulates all the winners of and loo forward to a bigger and better tournament in 2010. Hopefully it can be extended over a six week period of two months.
